Week 72 - Still life in Soft Pastels

This week we're drawing a still life of a jug and fruit in soft pastels

Join us every Tuesday morning from 11am to 12.15/12.30pm to draw/paint together every week. It will be a time of drawing and painting and conversation. Complete beginners are very welcome.

If you are able to print out the image to have it beside you whilst drawing, hopefully you'll find this helpful on the day. Otherwise, you can perhaps view it on your phone ?

You can pre-sketch the outline of the shapes if you wish to save time ? I find the black background very severe so I'd recommend making it any pale colour of your choice instead of black

What you'll need

A selection of soft pastels sticks and pastel pencils if you have them

Pastel paper, very fine sandpaper, or Strong quality paper of any size - A4/A3

A paper towel or cloth to wipe your hands & pastels on

How do i join?

The zoom link to join will appear above on this page at 11AM on Tuesdays. To join you will need a phone/tablet or laptop with a built in camera and microphone (most modern devices come with this) you may need to download the zoom app onto your phone if you are using a phone to join.
