Matthew 6:34

“Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.

Dear Jesus
You tell us not to worry and talk with you about everything
Our dreams, hopes and fears, but, sometimes we forget to include You ,
perhaps thinking you are too busy
-or, we are just too unimportant.
Yet, you know each one of us by name.
You know our joys, disappointments, and when we are feeling afraid or lonely.
And we can talk with you anywhere – Your love surrounds and upholds us.
Perhaps prayer is a little like sharing moments with a  good friend-
Just being ourselves, no fancy words or awkwardness
Just chatting...and listening..
… and, when we cannot say what is in our hearts
there is no need to speak, you understand completely
In stillness, you renew our strength
That lifts us high on wings like eagles
We have no need to be anxious, nor fear the future.
You are our ever-lasting Lord, creator of all the earth.
Closer than we can ever imagine.
Wherever we are – Your living, loving presence is with us.
Now – and for ever-more.
