Dear Friends
I am writing to you all on behalf of the Board of Sanctuary First to thank each and every one of you for your support. You are all members of the Sanctuary First family and your involvement is so appreciated. Whether it be by giving to the work of Sanctuary First, joining the Morning prayers, coming on Live Jam, coming to Sunday Live or just enjoying the vast resources that you can find on the website, on the Sanctuary First App or on Facebook, we hope you feel closer to God.
As many of you know Sanctuary First is a registered Scottish Charity and reports to the Faith Action Program Team of the Church of Scotland. The Charity is governed by its own Board of Trustees and we meet every two months. We have a Chief Executive Officer, Rev Ruth Kennedy and many volunteers who give so much of their time and talents to keep Sanctuary First as vibrant and open hearted as it can be.
With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we are establishing a network of people across Scotland and around the world that we pray God can use to encourage and inspire a new generation of disciples.
One of our goals is to make Sanctuary First a viable and sustainable resource for many years to come. All the work that is done is behind the scenes and sadly, digital/on-line worship comes with a price tag, and our costs are rising.
The Board has asked me to write to all of our community to prayerfully ask if you would consider either increasing your monthly giving to Sanctuary First or if you are not currently giving, that you would consider starting a monthly standing order to us.
Albert Bogle, our Chair, said in a recent video that he was asked “How much” and his reply was “It’s not the amount that matters, it is the act of giving that is more important”.
You can financially support our work by making a donation. It is a quick and simple process and you can donate a one-off gift, or give a regular amount every month. You can find the link to the Donation Page on the website www.sanctuaryfirstonline.org.uk/giving
We will be undertaking a Giving Month from 8th June to 8th July, starting a “Friends of Sanctuary First” scheme and looking at a Legacy Campaign. These plans are still coming together and you will hear more in the coming weeks. Thank you once again for being part of the Sanctuary First journey.
