What is Passover?
Ruth Kennedy chats with Rabbi Rubin to uncover and discover the riches of Passover which continues to be celebrated the world over.
On the first day of the Festival of unleavened Bread, when it was customary to sacrifice the Passover lamb, Jesus’ disciples asked him ‘Where do you want us to go and make preparations for you to eat the Passover?’
These are words in a book of the Bible called Mark and tell us why Jesus and his followers were in Jerusalem the days before Jesus was arrested, crucified and raised back to life; they were there to celebrate the Jewish festival of Passover.
