Week 92 - Bumble Bees in watercolour

Hello again

Hope you will join me online this week for some art ?

We meet every Tuesday morning from 11am to 12.15/12.30pm to draw/paint together. No experience needed. Complete beginners are very welcome.

Judges 14: 5-9

"Samson went down to Timnah together with his father and mother. As they approached the vineyards of Timnah, suddenly a young lion came roaring toward him. The Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him so that he tore the lion apart with his bare hands as he might have torn a young goat. But he told neither his father nor his mother what he had done. Then he went down and talked with the woman, and he liked her. Some time later, when he went back to marry her, he turned aside to look at the lion’s carcass, and in it he saw a swarm of bees and some honey. He scooped out the honey with his hands and ate as he went along."

If you are able to print out the image to have it beside you whilst drawing, hopefully you'll find this helpful on the day. Otherwise, you can perhaps view it on your phone as this will allow you to zoom in on the detail also ?

What you'll need

Strong paper suitable for Watercolour paint (Watercolour or Multi-media paper is best)

Any size of paper

A selection of watercolour paints or watercolour pencils

If you do not have watercolour, you can use whatever you have available to you e.g. coloured pencils, pastels, etc

A Penciland an eraser if you wish to loosly sketch it out

Kitchen paper to wipe brushes

A large, a small & a fine round brush for detail

Jar of water

How do i join?

The zoom link to join will appear above on this page at 11AM on Tuesdays. To join you will need a phone/tablet or laptop with a built in camera and microphone (most modern devices come with this) you may need to download the zoom app onto your phone if you are using a phone to join.
