Art Connection - Week 30

Week 30 - Tuesday 22nd March 2022 - Painting a Pigeon in Acrylic

This week in our group we're going to use Acrylic paint to create a painting of a Pigeon and trying to capture all its colours and feather texture.  Photographic Image Credit : Cecil Sneha on Unsplash.

Join us every Tuesday morning from 11am to 12.15/12.30pm to draw/paint together every week. It will be a time of drawing and painting and conversation. Complete beginners are very welcome to join us in creating together.

If you are able to print it out the image to have it beside you whilst drawing, hopefully you'll find this helpful on the day. Otherwise, you can perhaps view it on your phone ?

What you'll need

A selection of Acrylic paints

A selection of brushes (including a fine detail brush and a flat 1/2" brush if you have them)

An eraser and a pencil to sketch the design onto our paper

Strong Mixed Media paper in A4 or A3, as you prefer

A piece of kitchen paper

A jar of water

Tape to stick down the edges (if you have it)

How do i join?

The zoom link to join will apear above on this page at 11AM on Tuesdays. To join you will need a phone/tablet or laptop with a built in camera and microphone (most modern devices come with this) you may need to download the zoom app onto your phone if you are using a phone to join.
