Week 104 - House in a field in watercolour

Hello Everyone

Hope you will join me online this week for some art where we'll work on using watercolour paints delicately.

We meet every Tuesday morning from 11am to 12.15pm to draw/paint together. No experience needed. Complete beginners are very welcome.

Luke 12: 25-31  (NIV)

25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life[b]? 26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?

27 “Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 28 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith! 29 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. 30 For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.

This week we'll paint a house set in a field of wild flowers

If you're able to pre-sketch where the house & fence will appear on your painting, that'll give us a head start but don't worry if you don't manage to do so.

If you are able to print out the image to have it beside you whilst drawing, hopefully you'll find this helpful on the day. Otherwise, you can perhaps view it on your phone as this will allow you to zoom in on the detail also ?

What you'll need

Strong  Paper suitable for watercolour paint

Sticky tape (decorators masking tape is best) to hold the paper down to your desk/table

Any size of paper (A4 or A3 will be great)

A selection of watercolour paints and/or watercolour pencils

A Pencil and an eraser to loosly sketch it out

Kitchen paper to dab brush on

A large and medium round brush and a fine pointed brush for detail

How do i join?

The zoom link to join will appear above on this page at 11AM on Tuesdays. To join you will need a phone/tablet or laptop with a built in camera and microphone (most modern devices come with this) you may need to download the zoom app onto your phone if you are using a phone to join.
