You are worth it all

Luke 14:28

‘Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?

Wonderful Redeemer! 
We humbly come before Your throne
and confess that You alone are God and there is no other!
We have counted the cost
and know that there is nothing we desire apart from following You!
Safety, freedom from struggle are not the reality of chasing after You
and we know that You are worth it all!!
Take everything that we have, all that we are,
for apart from living for You there is nothing for us on this earth.
This life that is only a blink, Lord--this fleeting world will be gone in a moment.
Cause us to be mindful of eternity even in this match,
even in our friendships with one another.
In a moment You will return to come and take Your own.
In a moment You will appear and we will stand before You, Lord.
Only what's done for You will done for You, in Your Name will remain.
Thank You for this blessing of sports.
Thank You for this chance to do well and shine for You.
Have all the glory You alone are worthy of
we give this time into Your mighty hand and ask for Your favor and Your help.
In Jesus' Great Name we pray, Amen.
