John 14: 27

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Lord, fill our hearts with your peace and as you call us to be your witnesses may we share your peace with our neighbours for whom life is a daily struggle to cope.

Father, when we are challenged by the needs around us…when we decide that we don’t need to bother, or we fear for ourselves; our time, our reputation, our money. Release us from our troubled hearts to hold out our hands in faith and love to our neighbours.

“My peace I give you.”

Our neighbours are all whom you send across our path. Those who struggle with bereavement, depression, injustice, loss of faith, fear for the future and broken relationships. Heal our fear of getting involved so that we may indeed bring your healing and peace into their lives. 

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.”
