Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets.
We are one body Lord, create in us one heart that beats with your compassion for the poor and needy of this world.
Thank you for your restoration work. Like a precious masterpiece we are already beginning to see its glory as the old ways are loosened and scraped away, and a bright new picture appears. We are filled with hope.
We are awaiting your return Lord. May we be those faithful servants whom the Master finds busy multiplying his kingdom upon his return.
Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
It is our prayer "Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven".
Amongst the poor and the destitute
Amongst the sick and diseased
Amongst the homeless and the refugee
Amongst the enslaved and the forgotten
Amongst the despised and the immigrant
Amongst the smallest and the greatest
May their daily bread be the bread of heaven,
May our feet not stray back to temptations to leave them to the next person
Deliver us, each one, from evil
Come Lord Jesus.
