No greater blessing
Numbers 6: 24–26
24 ‘“‘The Lord bless you
and keep you;
25 the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
26 the Lord turn his face towards you
and give you peace.’”
In times of difficulty our help is frequently found in and through the blessing of others.
The Aaronic Priestly blessing invokes and personalises a God who cares for and keeps the one who is blessed. This blessing always results in God’s special presence as He is asked to direct His love, care and peace upon those who fall under the blessing.
For the Christian, this calling upon the Name of the Lord is always done in and through the Name of Jesus Christ. There can be no greater blessing that praying His peace upon those in need.
'May the Lord bless you and keep you,
May He make His face to shine on you
And be gracious to you
May the Lord turn His face toward you
And give you healing from hurt, pain, suffering and distress
May His presence be with in in all circumstances,
And may He give you peace. Amen.'
