Acts 2:1-4

The Holy Spirit comes at Pentecost

2 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. 2 Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongue as the Spirit enabled them.

Come, Holy Spirit.
We are weak, and need your power.
Come, Holy Spirit.
We are tired, and need your strength.
Come, Holy Spirit.
We are who we are,
and need You to be who You are
within us and among us.

Come....
Disturbing, wild wind, very breath of God.
Come....
Consuming, cleansing fire, passionate presence of God.
Come among us as we pray
– an invisible company connected in secret prayer -
So that we become the living stones
Formed into the Temple of the Living God
Where Christ is present in his Risen glory
Very life of God. AMEN
