Let nothing take our eyes off of You

2 Timothy 4:7

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Gracious Lord and Father, 
Thank You that we are saved alone by Your grace and mercy--
our salvation has nothing to do without our own works or goodness.
Thank You that You loved us and died for us while we were still in our sin,
t is so hard to even imagine a love like this.
Help us to walk in the reality of Your love and give our all.
We set our face forward to run the race with patience that You have set before us.
Thank You for Your protection upon our teammates and family even as we are away.
Strengthen us so that we may excel and give our best.
Lord, let nothing take our eyes off of You--
success or wealth or even pain.
May all the gifts and talents You have given us only cause us to excel
and do better with humble hearts mindful of Your great care.
Protect us from divisions and competing with one another--
let us compete with our own stats and give our all vs. our teammates.
Let us put our brothers first and look out for the soul and well being of one another.
Help us to be faithful so it is said of us we fought with our all,
we finished our course and we kept the faith You imparted to us.
We look to You, Faithful One, apart from You we can do nothing.
