Ephesians 1:5

he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will –

Dear Gracious Abba Father, 
We cannot get over the mercy of Your heart calling us to Yourself,
adopting us as Your very own through the purpose of Your perfect will through Jesus Christ.
As we run on the field as we give our all and play with our team--
let us remember first and foremost who we are in You.
Even before creation, before time,
You planned on us, Father. You wanted us.
Thank You for Your lovingkindness over our lives, the very air that we breath,
the love of our family, the abilities and support
that You have given us to bring us this far--
it is all a dream.
And still our hearts long for more.
Yet we know, Loving Lord, we will only find true satisfaction as You,
our Perfect Creator has purposed within Your perfect plan.
Let us look to You and not lean upon ourselves, our gifts or our smarts.
We humbly ask You to forgive us for pride,
to give us the proper perspective in light of Your greatness.
Keep us anchored in Your truth daily,
for Your Word alone is life and peace and will sustain and keep us.
We are filled with gratitude and thanksgiving
for this chance to give our best back to You.
It is a small token for all You have given to us.
Thank You, our Precious Lord, in Jesus' Name we pray, Amen.
