5 He destined us for adoption as his children through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will,

9 he has made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure that he set forth in Christ,

Many in the Sanctuary First community know I’m mad about animals. I am the crazy cat/dog/horse lady! In regards to the cats, I originally had one cat, Missythecat, who is devoted to me and I’m devoted to her. Then my son rescued a wee kitten from the farm. But with a toddler and a baby it wasn’t practical to keep him so he asked me if I would adopt wee Arlo. Quickly I grew to love wee Arlo just as much as Missythecat, for he is such a loving wee soul. Then last year I fostered a cat, Big Ronno. It was only supposed to be for a short time but he too worked his way into my heart and Big Ronno was adopted into my menagerie of animals. I feel me and these animals were always destined to be together as a family. I love each of them equally. 

God loves each and every one of us. Through his son Jesus, our brother Jesus, we are adopted into God’s family as God’s very own sons and daughters. Not just now but forever.

PRAYER:

Lord God, creator of heaven and earth,

Source of all life,

We thank you that we are your children.

We thank you that through Jesus we are saved.

Thank you that you are always with us

Now and forever

Amen
