God’s plan
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
It’s a good job you know the plan!
For I certainly don’t.
The world says one way, you say another.
I have read and studied. Listened and argued.
But I still don’t know.
I am baffled, hurt and dismayed by the attitudes.
Yet you say the plan is that I will prosper and not be harmed.
Strange that, because I feel the agony of indecision.
I have little in material possessions, money is tight, and I can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Yet you say I will prosper?
I can’t believe that. The buffeting of other people’s opinions has weakened me, so in my fragile moments, I despair.
Tears fall silently and I can honestly say that I hurt – and badly.
Take my hand Lord God, and show me the plans you have for me. Your strength will be my strength as I face whatever today may bring.
