Dream of Eternity

Hebrews 12.1-2

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles and run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross.

Father,  what a joyous gift your gift of life is.
You who created all things knit us together in our mothers womb! 
You did this in love and joy.
Receive the thanks of our hearts.
You set our feet on the path of life giving us loving parents and grandparents to teach us, love us and encourage us on the way.
 
Then you gave us Jesus your son, the most precious gift of all. He promised to be with us forever and that's when the dream of eternity becomes real. Oh! So real! 
We begin to know you as you walk beside us. We feel your strength when life is hard, you touch us with your peace when our hearts are sore and you fill our souls with your love. 
The dream is real! 
Lord, That's when we become aware of your eternal love and that we are bound fast with those who have gone before. Those who were, and indeed, are now part of the great cloud of witnesses in your everlasting presence, encouraging us onwards in love, joy and peace. 
The dream of eternity becomes part of our journey, now with your promise of everlasting life.
The dream is real!
Thank you Lord.
Father, wrap us around with your love and strength that we may live in eternity here and now and forever.
Fill us with your joy in living, your love in family, your patience in difficulties and your promise of eternal life in you.
The dream is real! 
Thank you Lord.
