“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’

“Tell Peter, for he denied me,
tell him, 
for his denial has not excluded him from my love,
his denial has not frustrated my purpose for his life."

Lord, in our guilt we run to faraway corners, 
shame burns holes in us, 
and we tell ourselves, there is no going back…

Lord in your love you seek us out,
in your mercy you make us whole. 
Our sin has not excluded us from your love, 
nothing frustrates your purpose for our lives.
