Sanctuary First at Refuel

Art Connection - Thursday 25th July 2024

Hi Everyone

Hope you will join me online live from Refuel for some art where we'll be using watercolour paints to paint our shadow surrounded by flowers and you may wish to add a Bible verse of your choice to it also

If you have a photo of your own shadow, then why not use that instead ! We'll not use the beach background, but will add colourful flowers onto the background or whatever other decoration you wish.

This week from the Refuel Summer Festival is a special series of daily Art Connection meetings from Tuesday to Thursday, (normally meet every Tuesday morning from 11am to 12.15pm to draw/paint together.)

No experience needed. Complete beginners are very welcome.

For those who join regularly, We’ll not do any pre-sketching before the session today. 

If you are able to print out the image to have it beside you whilst drawing, hopefully you'll find this helpful on the day. Otherwise, you can perhaps view it on your phone as this will allow you to zoom in on the detail also ?

What you'll need

Strong Paper suitable for watercolour

Sticky tape (decorators masking tape is best) to hold the paper down to your desk/table

Any size of paper (A3 or A4 will be great)

A selection of watercolour paints

Kitchen paper to wipe your brushes on

A jar of water

A waterproof/permanent ink pen to write the bible verse

Kitchen paper to wipe your brushes on

A jar of water

A medium round brush & a small round brush for detail

How do i join?
