Weekly Art Group

Do you enjoy drawing and painting ? Would you like to do so but find you never quite get round to it ? Perhaps you last did art at school & enjoyed it then ?

Join us every Tuesday morning from 11am to 12.15/12.30pm to draw/paint together every week. It will be a time of drawing and painting and plenty of conversation ? Complete beginners are very welcome as well as more experienced artists too.

Each week Jane Steel will host the group and guide you through the steps of each piece and how to do it. "I’ll talk you through each step, and you’ll be able to see what I’m doing and follow along (or do your own thing if you’re already accomplished at art !)" 

Basic materials can be found for low cost at art supply stores such as ‘The Works’ UK stores or on their website also. Hobbycraft in Falkirk UK (and their website) have a vast choice of materials although a bit more expensive than The Works. Home Bargains also sell art supplies at a great price. Also check out Lidl or Aldi who often have art supplies. No need to buy expensive materials to get started.

This group will run initialy for 6 weeks, and if it proves popular we shall take it from there. 

This Week

This week we will be doing a simple coloured pencil drawing of some crocus flowers. Coloured pencils, Watercolour pencils or even Pastel pencils will all be suitable, but if you don't have any of these, you can just draw it with standard pencils instead.

How do i join?

The zoom link to join will apear above on this page at 11AM on Tuesdays. To join you will need a phone/tablet or laptop with a built in camera and microphone (most modern devices come with this) you may need to download the zoom app onto your phone if you are using a phone to join.
