Jesus wept

I am worn out with grief:
every night confusion fills my mind,
my pillow is soaked with tears
and my eyes are dim and sore with weeping.

Prayer

As we weep tears of loneliness and sorrow,
remembering loss and pain and confusion,
may we remember that you, too, wept dear Lord,
and that our tears of weeping may, and will one day
through your transforming love,
turn to tears of joy.
In you we trust.
Amen.
