Acts 26: 15 - 17

“Then [Saul] asked, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ “‘I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,’ the Lord replied. ‘Now get up and stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen and will see of me. I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them

Lord, thank you for your servants through history,

Our spiritual mothers and fathers

Without whose witness we would not have faith today.

Thank you for the faith they had,

For the communities of faith they built,

For the faithfulness they displayed,

For the faith they grew in others. 

May we too be faithful. 

May we be a source of inspiration,

An example, 

And an encouragement

That the journey of faith will continue

Into the future

And generations yet unborn

Will learn to worship you.
