Matthew 19:13

13 Then people brought little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked them.

Jesus prayed with the children, blessing them and encouraging adults to learn from them:

To learn from their trusting
To learn from their laughter
To learn from their exuberance
To learn from their enthusiasm
To learn from their lack of complication
To learn from their ability to be amazed
To learn from their imagination
To learn from their inventiveness
To learn from their refusal to be defeated
To learn from their questioning…

Dear God, who calls each of us “beloved child”, may we learn the ways of children so that we can, once more, serve You with all our heart, with our our soul and with all our strength and love our neighbour as ourselves. Amen.
