Acts 3:13
The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus....
When we see the earthquake, we wonder.
When we see war and the refugee catastrophe, we wonder.
When we see international disease, sickness, fear and trauma, we wonder.
We wonder...what if it was me? What if it was my family? What if it was my country, my village, my city?
My children? My husband, my father, my world?
Where would I find God in that?
We wonder Lord, where is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Lord, I am afraid.
Be to me the God of Abraham
Secure me in your faithful promises of love.
Lord, I am lost and misunderstood
Be to me the God of Isaac
Fulfil your word.
Lord, I am confused and tempted to turn
Be to me the God of Jacob
That I may love you with all of my heart, strength and mind.
Amen.
