Philippians 2:19-21

I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, that I also may be cheered when I receive news about you.
I have no one else like him, who will show genuine concern for your welfare.  
For everyone looks out for their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.

We give you thanks Lord God, that you 
send us people to show us the way;
to show us, like Timothy, 
to put others’ concerns before our own.
To show us the way to respond to your call 
cheerfully and ungrudgingly;
to open our hearts to the call to love;
to make it our way of life, our rule for life,
the way of humility.
