Those who make all the difference to us

Colossians 3:12-14

Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. 

Those who are part of our lives today, day by day, family and friends who make all the difference to us

Loving God, 
You have created a world full of variety and richness like the seasons that ebb and flow and bring with them difference and change. 
You have created us, your people, with such enormous variety.
We are all are different; our circumstances are different; our lives are different; the people around us day by day are different.

  • Some people have family around
  • Others have friends around
  • For yet others it is carers or neighbours or helpers.
  • But we give thanks for the people who are there, whoever they may be.  
  • The people we can turn to, talk to, unburden to, or lift the phone to. 
  • The people we can depend on when we need to depend on someone.  
  • The people who show to us compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.  

Loving God for the special people in our lives we give you our thanks.  May we never take them for granted.  May we never take you for granted. May we be people who take time to pause and reflect and count the many blessings you have given to us through the people in our lives.  AMEN.
