Love is eternal
Eternal – what does it mean? Oxford English Dictionary definition :
“Used to refer to an everlasting or universal spirit, as represented by God: a man entirely under the sway of the Eternal and not of the material”
Love that is everlasting. Love that is universal. Love represented by God. Love that is Spirit.
And at Christmas we remember again that Love was born in human flesh.
Loving God, as we struggle with daily challenges of living in families, communities, countries and a world where everything seems to be disposable and fleeting, help us to remember that your Love is eternal, everlasting, for everyone. Show us how to share that love as others have done down the ages.
