Spirit of boldness

Acts 4:29-31

"Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus."

After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

But Lord, I'm a bit scared.
Actually more than a bit scared;
scared of living as a Christian
scared to let it be known I'm a disciple
scared of speaking up for you
scared to speak up for justice

Spirit of boldness,
fill me
and fill your church.
Inspire me
and inspire your church.
Spirit of boldness,
excite me
and help me
to sow seeds of your kingdom
wherever I go today
