Psalms 139:11-14

“If I say, ‘surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,’ even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

Not only adults are infected by HIV/AIDS, but many children as well.  Some of them are healthy as they take right treatment and have a health-seeking behavior, but there are others who are seriously ill.  Some of our children struggle through their adolescence with very low self-esteem, believing that they are different from others, and will not get any opportunity for life.

Heavenly Father, we remember young children who are suffering from HIV today.  In the midst of the confusion and conflict arising from their health condition, we pray they will remember that you are the God of peace who desires to settle peace upon your children.  Assure them that they are precious in your eyes, sons and daughters created in your image and likeness.  Provide the boldness and strength they need to face challenges today.  In your name, amen.
