Isaiah 55:8-12

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
As the rain and the snow come down from heaven,
and do not return to it without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower, and bread for the eater,
so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace,
And the mountains and hills will burst into song before you,
and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

What does it mean to have our eyes open and our ears tune to the creation around us, and the Holy Spirit within us?

What were your thoughts when you made the mountains Lord?
The high places and the valleys of our lives
Where heaven and earth meet to reveal your glory
You speak and it takes form ‘Let there be…
And it was good
What were your thoughts when you made us Lord?
In the image of God he created them male and female
And it was very good
We were made to worship and give praise to your name
Your way is the way of celebration and joy
Of thanksgiving and wonder
Of life in all its fullness where love abounds
Since love is Lord of heaven and earth
How can I keep from singing?
