Unity and Diversity in the Body
12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
Who honour one another in the mystery of the Trinity
Lead us into a relational reformation
Where we honour one another,
Learn to trust one another
And are ready to work together
Sowing seeds of Your Kingdom-life in our broken world.
In our fractured world,
May Your Church be a sign of a better way:
Where different races are one in Christ
Where different social groupings are one in Christ
Meeting on level ground at the Cross of Christ
Immersed in the shared water of our baptism in Christ
Embraced in the family of God where
Water is thicker than blood.
Teach us to live as One Body
United in One Spirit
Following our One Lord
With a togetherness rooted in the mystery of God
Father, Son and Holy Spirit. AMEN
