Ecclesiastes 3:5

God sets a time for making love and a time for abstaining,
a time for kissing and a time for parting.

Reflection
You may like to use the symbol of a photo of a lover, or a heart, or perhaps an empty space as a focus for your prayers.
Think of this person who you love, or have loved, and all you share with them. Or if you have no-one, sit with the silence and space, not emptiness, but space. Give thanks for the love in your life, or the openness you have to give love. Allow God to touch your life in the intimate space you inhabit in relationships and in partings, in love and in abstinence and seek peace.

Prayer
Loving God, Creator, Word and Spirit,
you reveal yourself in a relationship of love,
you created me as a being of love, 
with love to share,
you call me into a relationship of love with you
and with other people.
Thank you for the love I know in my life,
bless my special relationship with name of person or with myself. 
Thank you for the gift of love to share,
help me do it wisely and carefully,
help me sense your touch of love in my life always.
