1 John 1:8

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Looking at myself, 
I know but cannot always admit even to myself 
That there are times I have been wrong;
Things I have done which I should not have done;
Words I have spoken which I have said with no thought for another.

Let this day be the day when I recognise the wrongs I have done
and allow myself to be set on a new path
Let this day be a day when the truth will set me free.
Teach me, o God, what it means to be true.
