Young men and women dreamed dreams
Older ones planned out coaching, visioned settings
Over years
A theatre of sport it was indeed.
Puzzling out the rules of sports at which our countrymen are apparently brilliant
Fatalistic stoicism not needed
Catching a glimpse of the people we might be
