I take God’s grace for granted when I do not love

1 John 4: 7-10

God’s Love and Ours

7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Dear Lord

The kingdom of heaven is built here
Your will is done here
Kingdom living is of the present not the future.

This grace is given me for a today purpose
As well as a future hope
That I may live and love in its glory

That I may share its beauty in my life
In my being with others
In my loving
As unconditionally as I can

Be with me today
As I live in your kingdom
That place of grace and love
And by being gracious and loving
Invite others to do the same

Amen.
