Lamentations 3:21-24
Yet hope returns when I remember this one thing: The Lord's unfailing love and mercy still continue, fresh as the morning, as sure as the sunrise. The Lord is all I have, and so in him I put my hope.
Lord,
Thank you for the gift of hope
Turn our hearts to the sunrise of your love
So we can see what can be,
rather than what has been
Give us a fresh vision of your plan
We have been stuck in this situation too long
Struggling to break free
We have allowed the darkness to overwhelm us
We need to move forward
We have allowed our energy to dissipate
Re-energise our longings
Fill us with your Holy Spirit
Help us not to dwell on the past but build for the future
Give each of us a change of heart
And where necessary a change of direction
Turn us around that we might do your bidding
And walk in obedience and live in peace
