Matthew 11: 28–30 (ESV)
28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Today we pray a prayer of 'help', remembering all those around the world who pray with us.
O God of the shared burden through the tiring day,
our anxieties and cares make it difficult
for us to recognise the companionship of your Son.
Help us to welcome his offer of exchange
and place his light and loving words
where they can bring relief.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
