God’s Love
Listen to this daily worship
Ephesians 1: 5-6, 9-10 (NRSVA)
5 He destined us for adoption as his children through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace that he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.
9 he has made known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure that he set forth in Christ, 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to gather up all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.
I’m a mother and I love my son with every fibre of my being. It feels like the love I have for him is tattooed on every cell, a marker within my DNA. But no matter how much I love my son it doesn’t come close to how much God loves each and every one of us.
It says in John 3: 16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
Usually, I have so much to say about everything. But when I contemplate the depth of our Father God’s love for us I am stunned into silence…and awe. Overwhelmed by emotion I have no words.
PRAYER:
Thank you Father God,
Thank you, That you loved me so much that you sent your son Jesus to save me.
Thank You
Thank You
Thank You
Amen
