Acts 5:12-13

Through the work of the apostles, many God-signs were set up among the people, many wonderful things done. They all met regularly and in remarkable harmony on the Temple porch named after Solomon.

Lord,

Where are the God-signs today?

The busy church porches

The people hanging out

The chatter and the expectation

The healing and the harmony

Too often we’ve closed the doors

Turn away from each other

Shut up shop

Only to meet on a Sunday

With little expectation

Open our eyes

To see the busy cafe porches

Lonely people standing at bus stops

Open our eyes to see the Jesus shadow we can cast 

Forgive us for the times we  quench the fellowship of the Spirit
