For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Colossians 3:23
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,
Loving Farther, I thank you for the work you have set for me to do.
Its as dull a job as can be Lord but I just have a great joy in my heart for what you’ve got me doing today. It has a beginning, middle and an end. And when I step back and look at what you have me doing, well Lord, it has given me real pleasure.
I know perfection does not come in this world but for a moment I stand, hands on hips and say, thank you!
Surely there cannot be a happier moment in my week than when you let me complete this task. I lay the results before you and give you the glory the honour and the praise. So, when my earthly boss measures my production give me a heart that turns to my heavenly master from where me talents come.
To you I give my praise – Amen
