Hebrews 12:1
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,
The voice trembles now,
The mind wanders now and then,
The eyes show not everything is grasped.
But I am grateful for that night
When alone among hundreds
I listened in that Church
As the voice coming from a deep place,
Where the Word had done His work,
Filled the space,
Fire a light within,
Cut through the soul-mist,
Showed a way forward.
That You speak to us!
That You speak through us!
Never let me forget that night
When I knew.
Never let me forget the man,
Among many,
Who have given themselves
That the seed may be planted
To grow to a harvest.
