7 Isaac said to his father Abraham, ‘Father!’ And he said, ‘Here I am, my son.’ He said, ‘The fire and the wood are here, but where is the lamb for a burnt-offering?’ 8 Abraham said, ‘God himself will provide the lamb for a burnt-offering, my son.’ So the two of them walked on together.
God we thank you for all those times
you have helped us to find
another way
Those times when our best intentions
have been overtaken
by your love
Keep on picking away
at our unjust
and inequitable
practices
Keep on dismantling
our prejudice
Show us how to be
counter cultural
Make us unapologetic
about going against convention
when love is at stake.
Keep us following
your alternative way
where love is all.
