Dare to be Different
Hebrews 11: 24
By faith, Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.
For the Hebrew people the words of blessing were seen as a prophetic act. To bless the children and grandchildren is to invite God to act in their lives for their good and for the shaping of their character within the people of God. Taking our cue from the blessings mentioned in Hebrews 11: 2-18 we will bless the next generation.
Father, it is hard for young people
to stand out from the crowd,
to say “no” to the tempting voices;
and harder still
to dare to be different as a follower of Jesus Christ.
Bless the young Christians we know…...................
that this day of worship and fellowship may help them
to be strong and loyal to their calling as disciples of Jesus.
