Luke 22: 19

‘And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying,

“This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”

Lord, you call us to remember you in the breaking of bread.

Your brokenness is our wholeness.

Bread of our living, feed our souls with your presence.

Bread of our loving be the yeast of our serving.

Bread of our serving, be the food of our giving.

Bread of our giving be the essence of our remembering.

In all our remembering may we know that we are sustained? 

by  you, our living Lord, the bread of life.

Amen.
