Beloved
Galatians 3:24-28
Therefore the law was our disciplinarian until Christ came, so that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer subject to a disciplinarian, for in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith. As many of you as were baptised into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.
Lord God you proclaim us your beloved children.
Each unique and loved unconditionally.
You welcome our many hues, our multi-faceted characters.
You see us as individuals.
Yet you declare us as one in you.
Equal in status - beloved.
Equal in power - called to serve.
So God, where you do not put barriers, may we not either.
May we honour and cherish each other
For all that makes us different.
And for all that makes us equal.
With the status and the power that you bestow
may we be servants to each other and companions on the way.
