Our Goal

This month on Sanctuary First we will be aiming to raise £5000 for our Faith at the Fringe podcasts and a series of eight Praise Ceilidhs!

In partnership with Ian Paget these eight new shows will be running during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and will bring together all things Scottish with original Scottish praise music written by Ian Paget and with old ceilidh dances for all to learn and join in with, these events will be held at St Cuthberts Parish Church.

The podcasts and events will help us to reach more new people than before, interviewing artists, creatives and performers about the cross over between art and faith, but also gathering people for a time of joy fun and praise through the Praise Ceilidhs. Can you help us to reach our goal and help bring these projects to life?

We are passionate about offering fresh and engaging ways to connect with people who are unfamiliar, or perhaps all-too-familiar with church, but who wish to interact with prayer, the Bible, spirituality, and one another without feeling under pressure to conform to a stereotype of Christianity. It is important to us to make these resources freely available to be as accessible and inclusive as possible. We also want to maintain a standard of creativity, innovation and quality in our output that helps our resources be attractive, relevant and engaging.
